Caltech senior Ryan Elmquist has been named to the Capital One Academic All-District VIII college level men's basketball first team. He is the first men's basketball player in Caltech history to earn the prestigious honor.
The native of Woodbury, Minnesota, has tallied a 3.5 GPA as a computer science major at Caltech. He also recently accepted a full-time position as a software engineer with Google for after his graduation in June.
