2026 President's Annual Ethics Letter - Code of Conduct
President's Annual Ethics Message
In his annual ethics message, President Ray Jayawardhana reminds the Caltech community that our pursuit of groundbreaking research depends on a culture of collective inquiry rooted in integrity and mutual respect, and that every one of us shares responsibility for upholding the standards in Caltech's Code of Conduct. When the right course of action isn't clear, support is available through supervisors, academic or research advisors, the Deans of Undergraduate and Graduate Studies, the Equity and Title IX Office, the Office of Research Policy, Human Resources, JPL's Ethics Office, Audit Services and Institute Compliance, and the Office of the General Counsel.
For situations where confidentiality or anonymity is needed, or ordinary channels aren't available, the Campus Hotline(626-395-8787 or 888-395-8787) and the JPL Ethics Help Line (818-354-9999 or 866-405-7536) are open to you, and Caltech's Whistleblower Policy prohibits retaliation against anyone who reports suspected wrongdoing in good faith.
