Additional Campus Closures for Ginsburg Center Construction

June 27, 2024

Select campus walkways and access routes will be intermittently closed while workers install utilities underground. The work will be performed from 7 a.m.–5 p.m. in three phases between Monday, June 24, and Friday, August 23, 2024.

Phase I: June 24–August 23, 2024

The area between Gates-Thomas and the Hameetman Center will be closed for the installation of underground conduits and an underground vault. Large sound panels will be used to minimize noise during intermittent use of jackhammers to break concrete.

Phase II: June 27–July 10, 2024

The section of the Olive Walk highlighted in this image will be closed for construction. We expect louder noise after 9 a.m. as a contractor uses water and air to dig several feet to verify existing underground utilities in preparation for new underground conduits.

Phase III: July 15–August 23, 2024

The area between the turtle pond, Kellogg, and Guggenheim will be closed for the installation of a new electrical vault. Large sound panels will be used to minimize noise during intermittent use of jackhammers to break concrete.
