Los Angeles Early Aviation Lecture

The Caltech Archives in cooperation with GALCIT has loaned a model of the Dill Pickle experimental airplane for an aviation exhibit titled Kites, Wings & Other Flying Things at the Pasadena Museum of History.  On Tuesday, January 28, at 6:30 PM, the Museum will sponsor a lecture by two aviation historians.  Fred Culick, co-author of On Great White Wings: The Wright Brothers and the Race for Flight, will speak about the development of manned flight, both abroad and in the United States.  Kenneth Pauley, author of Images of Aviation: The 1910 LA International Aviation Meet, will follow with a discussion on the Air Meet at Dominguez Hills and its impact on aviation in Southern California.  Pasadena Museum of History, 470 W.
