Teaching, Research and Service at a CSU: Can I do it all and be an effective educator?
Dr. Seema Shah-Fairbank (Associate Professor, Cal Poly Pomona) will participate in a discussion about what it is like being a professor within the California State University (CSU) system. Why did she choose a CSU? What is a typical and a non-typical day? As a faculty member at a CSU, ensuring student success through teaching and learning is important, but, with continuing changes in educational culture, how does one best balance research and service?
